In Between was the first chair in solid wood that \u0026amp;Tradition put into production, and it remains one of the house's best known pieces. The design rests on two traditional woodworking techniques: the legs and armrests are turned on a lathe, while the seat and side panels are form pressed from wood veneer, letting thin, light timber hold the chair's crescent-shaped back and armrest. The silhouette nods to Hans J. Wegner's 1949 Wishbone chair, though Kallio gives it a sharper pitch and a more graphic, modular form, with the gaps between the panels giving the chair its name. \u0026amp;Tradition also offers the design in oiled oak, black lacquered oak and oiled walnut, and has it made in Latvia by Kvist Industries.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis pair came from retail showroom stock rather than a private home.
