The seats are upholstered in espresso leather, new as part of the restoration, and the dark tone sets off the warm oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe table top is finished in book matched oak veneer, the grain mirrored symmetrically across the surface. The table extends with a leaf, giving room to add guests when needed and staying compact for everyday meals.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRestored and in excellent condition. Structural work has been completed, and precision veneer repairs have been carried out on the table top.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePasquinelli was born in Scandicci, near Florence, and trained at the Florence Art Institute, graduating in 1951. He became a staple name in the Triangle of the Chair, the area of north eastern Italy near Udine that produced much of the world's wooden seating.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEspresso leather and warm oak suit a room with plain walls, a wool rug and a low sideboard, and the set sits comfortably beside Australian mid century teak. Oak needs little attention: wipe the table with a lightly damp cloth, use placemats under hot dishes, and condition the leather once or twice a year.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eClosed, the table suits the four chairs.
