Design Inspiration:
Created by designer Laurens van Wieringen for the Dutch furniture house De Vorm, the LJ series was born from a commitment to sustainable manufacturing. The core idea was to rethink traditional upholstery by utilizing recycled PET plastic bottles. Through a specialised pressing technique, this recycled plastic is transformed into a sturdy felt shell. This method reduces production steps and gives the chair its signature soft texture and excellent acoustic properties, marrying environmentally conscious design with clean modern lines.
