This exceptional Carver armchair is a significant design by Peter Brown for T.H. Brown & Sons, one of Australia's most revered mid-century manufacturers.

A masterful study in form and material, the chair is constructed from highly sought-after Australian Blackbean timber, prized for its deep, rich grain and durability. The design's most compelling features are its fluid, sculptural armrests and elegantly tapered legs, which clearly showcase Peter Brown's strong Scandinavian design influence.

As part of a commitment to exceptional restoration, this piece has been meticulously returned to its original splendour. The Blackbean frame has been professionally restored, enhancing its warm, dark patina. It has been newly upholstered in a premium, textured navy-blue textile that provides a sophisticated contrast to the timber. 

The restoration is completed with a subtle row of brass nail-heads on the reverse of the backrest, a bespoke detail that elevates the chair's classic profile.
