Good Furniture
Is Worth The Time

A small number of private restorations come through the workshop each month, alongside our own. Tell us about your piece and we will come back with what it needs, what it will cost, and how long it will take

WHAT WE TAKE ON

Mid-century modern, mostly

Danish, Scandinavian and Australian mid-century is what the bench is set up for, the joinery Jon trained to restore, the timbers he knows by feel. Other rare, design-led vintage furniture is genuinely welcome too.

We turn down more than we take, not because a piece isn't loved, but because the right person for it is not always us. Here is a rough guide either way.

Yes, gladly

— Mid-century Danish, Scandinavian, European & Australian furniture

— Timber repairs, refinishing, watermarks, stains and rebuilds

— Missing handles turned by hand, and custom 3D-printed parts

—Vintage lighting rewired, refinished, tested and tagged

— Reupholstery, faithful to the original or custom-designed with you

Not our workshop

— Contemporary flatpack, laminate or MDF-core furniture

— Reproductions, whether sold as originals or in the style of

— Pieces too far gone to still be original

— New furniture, however well made

— Work worth more than the piece, unless it is worth it to you
