Tell us where it's going at checkout, and that's the price. No calculator guessing at dimensions, and nothing added after you have paid.

Vintage furniture does not travel like a parcel either, so everything is wrapped and blanketed by hand and goes with people who move furniture for a living rather than through a general freight network.

LOCAL PICKUP, TORQUAY

Collection from the Torquay Studio is free and by appointment. We will confirm a window with you once the piece is ready.

Bring a vehicle that suits what you are collecting, and blankets or straps if you have them. If you are not sure whether a sideboard will fit in your wagon, ask us before you drive down. We measure these things for a living, and we would rather tell you in advance.

IN THE ROOM

For larger pieces, we use specialist furniture carriers rather than general freight. Your piece is blanket-wrapped, carried inside, put where you want it, unwrapped, and the packaging goes away with the driver.

Available on request Australia-wide. Tell us about stairs, lifts and tight corners when you book, and we will make sure there are two people on the job.

TIMELINES

Restored pieces are ready to leave the workshop within 3 to 5 business days of purchase.

From there, pieces usually leave Torquay within 7 to 14 days while we schedule the courier. This is mostly a factor for interstate deliveries, since Melbourne and local moves go out directly with our own trusted movers and don't carry the same wait.

Custom restorations and pieces reserved before restoration run to the date agreed at the quote. We will tell you if that date moves rather than letting it pass quietly.

You will always get a delivery window before anyone sets out, so nobody has to wait in all day for a knock at the door.

INTERNATIONAL

We ship internationally by quote. Send us the piece and the delivery address before you buy, and we will come back with a price and a realistic timeline.

Worth knowing that some countries restrict timbers such as rosewood under CITES. If a piece is affected, we will tell you upfront rather than after you have paid.

RETURNS

Every piece is one of a kind and often restored to order, so all sales are final on vintage pieces. What we owe you in return is honesty. We will tell you everything we know about the condition of a piece before you buy, including the marks we have chosen to leave, and every listing carries full measurements.

If a piece arrives damaged or is not as described, contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we will make it right.
