Payment Terms

Honest Terms, No Fine Print

Everything you need to know about payment, holds, deposits and refunds. If anything here isn't clear, please email us before you order, we are happy to talk it through first.

01

Accepted payment methods

We accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Afterpay and Zip, all through checkout.

There is no card surcharge. The price you see is the price you pay.

02

Payment on purchase

Full payment is required at the time of purchase unless otherwise arranged. Orders will not be processed until payment has been received and confirmed.

03

Deposits & holds

A 50% deposit holds any piece.

Deposits are refundable up to 14 days, or until fabric or materials have been ordered for your piece, whichever comes first. Once work begins, the deposit covers materials already bought and cannot be returned.

04

Reserving before restoration

Pieces in the workshop can be reserved before the work begins, and it is the best way to buy from us.

A 50% deposit secures the piece and pays for the materials. That deposit is what lets you choose the fabric, the leather and the finish rather than take what we would have picked. The balance is due when the piece is finished and before it leaves our workshop.

We will give you a realistic completion date when you pay the deposit, and be in touch to book delivery.

05

Afterpay & Zip

Both are available at checkout on any order.

You get the piece on the same terms as anyone else. Nothing is held back and there is no difference in how we treat the order.

06

Cancellations

Every piece is one of a kind and often restored to order, so purchases of finished pieces are final. What we owe you in return is honesty. We will tell you everything we know about the condition of a piece before you buy, including the marks we have chosen to leave, and every listing carries full measurements.

If a piece arrives damaged or is not as described, see Damage in Transit below.

If you're reserving a piece with a deposit rather than buying it outright, that deposit is refundable up to 14 days, or until fabric or materials have been ordered for it, whichever comes first. If you change your mind before that point, talk to us so we can make things right. Once work begins, the deposit covers materials already bought and cannot be returned.

07

Trade

We work with interior designers, stylists, architects and set designers.

Trade pricing, first look at pieces before they are listed, and sourcing to a brief. If you are furnishing for clients rather than yourself, get in touch to discuss your project.

08

Damage in transit

Every piece is photographed before it is wrapped, so we both know the condition it left in.

If a piece arrives damaged, send us photos within 48 hours of delivery. Because these pieces are one of a kind, we cannot simply send a replacement, so depending on the damage, that means a repair at our cost, a partial refund, or a full refund and collection. We will talk it through with you and always land on something fair.

09

Consignment & hire

Hire. Available on select stock only. The fee is 25% of the piece's listed sale price per week, payable before collection. A refundable bond equal to the listed price is held and released once the piece is back with us in the same condition it left in. If it's returned damaged, we'll assess the repair cost and deduct it from the bond before refunding the balance.

Consignment. We take on select pieces to sell on commission and pay out within days of the sale. Full terms are on the consignment page.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page with the date it was last changed.

Any order you have already placed runs on the terms that were in place when you placed it. We will not change the rules on you halfway through.
