Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, this Segmented Base dining table uses a modular four-star aluminium base that spreads its weight through engineering rather than bulk, creating a floating effect under the circular top.
The system was a genuine breakthrough for Herman Miller, allowing several configurations from a consistent set of parts, and this authentic example carries the build quality that has kept pieces like it functional for decades.
Very good vintage condition. The black top shows minor marks and light wear consistent with age, and the cast aluminium base carries a subtle patina rather than looking refinished. All components are structurally sound.
