A rare and exceptionally fine example of Danish Modern cabinetmaking. This floating wall-mounted secretary, produced in Denmark circa 1960, is a masterclass in material, form, and function. It transcends the ordinary, showcasing a superior level of artistry and precision in its joinery and construction.

The cabinet is veneered in intensely figured Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia nigra), with the drop-front door featuring a breathtaking, perfectly symmetrical book-matched grain that creates a powerful, Rorschach-like pattern. This meticulous application transforms the wood's natural beauty into a captivating work of art. The drawers are joined with exquisite, hand-cut dovetails, a hallmark of uncompromising quality and master-level craftsmanship. The cabinet's compact, jewel-box proportions (650 x 650 mm) make it a versatile and impactful piece for any interior.

Designed to float elegantly on the wall, the cabinet has a light, architectural presence.
