1960s Italian Mid-Century Modern Solid Oak Lounge Chair with Rail Back
An exceptional Italian mid-century modern lounge chair, circa 1960. This piece is a standout for its architectural construction, featuring a rare open-rail timber back and fluid, curved legs that flow into long, sweeping armrests. The solid oak frame displays beautiful medullary flecks throughout the grain, a mark of high-end European production.
Restoration & Comfort
We have sympathetically restored and.refinishing the oak to a gorgeous deep honey colour that highlights the natural character of the timber. The chair has been fully rebuilt for modern use with new webbing and high-density premium foam. For added longevity, the cushions are fully reversible and flippable, allowing for even wear over time.
Upholstery
Newly upholstered in Warwick Halo easy-care fabric in a rich Olive tone. This textile features a refined textured weave, providing a soft, tactile contrast to the structural oak frame. Engineered to be stain-resistant and durable, it ensures this functional piece of mid-century art is as practical as it is beautiful.
