Description
Made in Denmark around 1960, this six drawer tallboy is built from richly grained teak, with a sculpted, recessed pull on each drawer front.
The teak grain runs in long, warm lines across the six drawers, and the dark recessed pulls sit flush with each front, so the tall case reads as a clean stack of horizontal bands. Short, tapered legs lift the case off the floor and give the piece a light stance.
The proportions are slim. At only 64 cm wide and 43 cm deep, the tallboy suits a modern bedroom or a hallway where floor space is limited, and six drawers give generous storage for clothes or linen in a small footprint. The top has room for a lamp, a mirror or a plant.
Restored, in excellent condition.
