Description

This is a Segmented Base circular table, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1964.

The Segmented Base was the Eames Office's most versatile table system, built from separate columns, prongs, feet and crossbeams that could be configured to suit dining tables, worktables and conference tables of almost any size or shape. This example carries a blue laminate top made from four joining segments, a genuine feature of the design rather than a cosmetic detail, meeting at a central point on a white painted steel base.

The table is in very good condition, with only minor wear consistent with its age.

Dimensions: 72cm high, 140cm diameter.

Suited to dining for a small group or as a centrepiece in a creative workspace. Available to view in our Torquay studio.
