Set of Four Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan Dining Chairs in Teak, c. 1963

$2,600.00 AUD
Description

G-Plan built its reputation through the 1950s and 60s by licensing designs from leading Scandinavian names and manufacturing them at scale in Britain, a strategy that brought Danish design principles to a much wider market than the originals ever reached. Ib Kofod-Larsen was one of the designers they worked with, and this set of four dining chairs, stamped with the genuine G-Plan maker's mark, is a well-preserved example of that collaboration.

Built from solid teak with an ergonomically shaped backrest, the chairs carry Kofod-Larsen's characteristic restraint, favouring clean lines over ornament.

Frames restored and in excellent condition. The original black vinyl padded seats remain in very good condition, with only minor wear consistent with age.

Height 75 cm, depth 42 cm, width 47 cm, seat height 45.5 cm. Sold as a set of four.
