When your restored mid-century timber or vintage cane furniture needs deep hydration, this 100 percent plant based orange oil is the perfect solution. It is entirely food-safe, contains zero silicone, and is an exceptional alternative to waxing if you prefer a natural matte finish rather than a high sheen.

This oil cleans as it restores, making it brilliant for bringing neglected timber back to life or feeding raw, unpolished areas like the internal runners of vintage drawers and the undersides of dining tables. It deeply nourishes and darkens the timber to reveal its true grain exactly as it looks when wet, without leaving any artificial stain behind.

Please note: While this formula contains pure cold-pressed orange oil, it is a specialised blend designed for maintenance and is not suitable for mixing directly with pure tung oil.

How to Apply

• Ensure your furniture is clean and completely dry before you begin.

• Choosing your cloth: We highly recommend using our natural bamboo cloths for this process. Take one clean bamboo cloth and apply the oil evenly to the timber. For intricately carved details or woven cane, a soft brush works beautifully.

• Allow the oil to soak into the grain for 5 to 10 minutes.

• Buffing the finish: Once the oil has had time to absorb, take a second clean bamboo cloth and buff the surface thoroughly to remove any excess. This step is crucial to ensure the surface does not attract dust or become sticky.

• For very dry or neglected timber, you can apply up to three coats back to back, following the same application and buffing process each time. Once the timber stops absorbing oil, it is fully saturated.

Maintenance and Clean Up

To keep your pieces looking fresh, we recommend a light maintenance coat every 4 to 6 months. As the timber builds up nourishment over time, it will require less frequent oiling. Clean your hands and wash your bamboo cloths easily in warm, soapy water.
