Description

Made by the Melbourne Chair Company (Melchair), this round dining table is a less common solid oak example, with most Melchair production from the period used teak or blackwood. The tabletop floats slightly above a recessed perimeter rail, into which the tapered legs are integrated for added stability.

Sympathetically restored, all joints reglued. Minor marks consistent with age.
