Aurélien Barbry for Le Klint 155 Caché Pendant Light in Grey

Aurélien Barbry designed the Caché for Le Klint in 2014, setting the Danish company's hand folded plastic shade inside a smooth metal outer shell. The name is French for hidden, and the pleats only reveal themselves from below.

The shell on this example is a soft matt grey, finished with a brass toned fitting where the cord meets the shade. Look up from beneath and the white pleated plastic shade diffuses the bulb into an even, warm light, well suited to hanging over a dining table or kitchen bench. Each Le Klint shade is folded by hand in Denmark from a single sheet of plastic, which keeps its shape and can be wiped clean.

Contemporary production. Dimensions: approximately 30 cm in diameter and 32 cm high. Condition: very good.
