Rudolf Schrötter for Moser Amber Glass Vase, c. 1930
Description
Hand cut and hand polished in amber glass, this vase was made in Czechoslovakia around 1930 by the house of Moser to a design by Rudolf Schrötter.
Its bold, geometric facets are typical of the Art Deco period and were worked entirely by hand, which shows in the clarity and weight of the finished piece. The amber colour deepens where the glass is thickest, giving the vase a different character depending on the light it sits in. Moser's reputation for glasswork of this standard has held for a century, and pieces from this period are genuinely collectable.
