Description
Karl Edvard Korseth designed this table for Rybo (O.P. Rykken & Co. Møbelfabrikk) in Norway, originally as a sewing box, and it works just as well today as a side table.
The storage is the practical part. A woven bamboo tambour basket slides open for storage, with a slim drawer above it for smaller items, and both are felt lined.
The frame is solid teak, standing on tapered X frame legs that give the table a light stance. Teak and bamboo suit each other well, the warm grain of one set against the woven texture of the other.
Fully restored and in excellent vintage condition, with minor character marks consistent with age.
Dimensions: 50 cm H x 55 cm W x 41 cm D. It suits a bedside, the end of a sofa or a corner used for sewing.
