Norm Architects for &Tradition 'Raft' NA3 Stool in Oak and White Steel

$250.00 AUD
Description

Norm Architects designed the Raft NA3 stool for &Tradition in 2011, and this example pairs a sandblasted oak seat and legs with white powder-coated steel.

Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, the two Danish architects behind Norm Architects, drew on the contrast between corroded, weathered wood and the industrial steel found in docks and shipyards. The sandblasted surface lifts the grain of the oak, and three splayed round legs meet the seat through white steel struts, which give the stool the look of a creature in motion. The legs allow two seating positions, with one leg forward or two.

The seat is completely flat, so the stool works equally well as a small side table beside a sofa or a bed.

Excellent restored condition. The timber and steel are stable, balanced and structurally sound.

Dimensions: 46 cm H x 45 cm D x 50 cm W.
