Description
Norman Archibald designed the Nore Room bar for Nore Furniture, and this set was made in Melbourne around 1972 from individually selected solid Victorian alpine ash.
The front of the bar is faced in padded leather across three panels, and a copper foot rail runs along both the front and the rear. Behind the counter is a working side, with a waist height mixing bench, shelving for bottles and wine, a felt lined drawer and a bay sized for a bar fridge.
The three matching stools have backrests and stitched Howe leather slings. The leather on the bar face and on the stools is the original hide fitted when the set was made, still held by its original brass studs and in excellent restored condition.
The bar and three stools are sold together as a set.
Bar: 183 cm long x 56 cm deep x 102 cm high.
Stools: 100 cm high x 46 cm deep x 54 cm wide.
