Description
A hand-knotted Kashan rug in fine kork wool with silk highlights, on a cotton foundation, featuring a central Tree of Life motif with pairs of birds among palmettes and scrolling vines, in warm neutrals, dusty rose, sky blue and sage, framed by an indigo border.
The silk inlay outlines petals and feathers for a subtle shimmer within the wool pile, a hallmark of finer Kashan weaving.
Professionally cleaned. Very good condition, full and even pile, with minor loose threads along the sides.
