Van Treight Armchair in Blackwood, c. 1960
Description
One of Van Treight's more recognised designs, this armchair pairs sculpted Tasmanian blackwood armrests with an upholstered seat and back, a combination that gave the maker's chairs their distinctive warmth against the more common Australian pairing of steel and vinyl.
Reupholstered in Zepel's Bora Bora FibreGuard fabric, chosen for its stain resistance and durability alongside the timber.
Restored and in excellent condition, with new premium foam throughout.
Height 78 cm, depth 75 cm, width 65 cm.
