Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Bakhtiari Garden Panel Rug (200cm x 132cm)

$0.00 AUD

Bring the timeless elegance of Persian artistry into your home with this authentic, hand-knotted Bakhtiari rug.

Originating from the Zagros Mountains of western Iran, this piece features the signature "Kheshti" (Garden Panel) design, one of the most beloved and collectible motifs in Persian weaving.

The rug is divided into individual squares, each acting as a window into a stylized garden. These panels showcase intricate classic motifs, including the weeping willow (symbolising sorrow and love), the cypress tree (eternal life), and stylised floral bouquets. The colour palette is rich and earthy, anchored by deep indigo, warm terracotta/rust, and accents of ivory and camel, making it incredibly easy to style.

Bakhtiari rugs are renowned for their durability and thick wool pile, making this piece not only a work of art but a practical choice for high-traffic areas. Its versatile size (2m length) makes it perfect for defining a lounge area, anchoring a home office, or adding warmth to a bedroom. It pairs exceptionally well with Mid-Century Modern teak furniture, industrial textures, or traditional interiors.
