Description

Designed by Willem Hendrik Gispen for Kembo (an acronym for "Kom Eerst Maar Bij Ons") in 1957, this side table pairs a black rod-metal frame with a winged bentwood shelf, finished in its original light yellow lacquer. The piece is featured in the reference catalogue "W.H. Gispen: Serie producten 1923–1960."

Fitted with new toughened glass to the original 1957 specification, with a clean, polished edge.

The original lacquer has been stabilised rather than refinished, retaining its age and character.
